[USFT] Global Week of Action fast approaching!

"The Global Week of Action is happening from the 10th to the 16th of April, and its really important because its actually going to be the first global mobilization in 2005 and it will kick start the year... Although plans are in early stages, I think there are already plans for the global week of action

planned in about 50 different countries around the world.

 

This isn't a week about helping the poor or helping southern countries in a sort of paternalistic way. What we're saying in the week of action is we're challenging the economic structures and the economic models which are being forced on countries around the world and which are creating poverty, and everyone is campaigning together to do that, whether a campaign as an activist in India, or activists in Costa Rica, Brazil, Ghana. We'll be campaigning in the UK, but we'll be campaigning in solidarity at the same time in solidarity."
