mapping the movementCheck out Fair Trade schools all around the country!Don't see your school or your region? This is still a work in progress, more schools to come! Contact your regional coordinator to make sure you're added.
All about Mapping the Movement:We recently began an ongoing project called “Mapping the Movement" to organize all the information USFT has collected about what students are doing with Fair Trade all across the nation! Using the website Zeemaps, we can keep track of you all, and you can keep track of each other! You can click on the marker for each school and find out information such as what the school's food service provider, the permanent contact, school size, any rad achievements they have accomplished, and other facts you may find helpful in your own organizing. The markers are different colors based on the school's food service provider. This way you, as a student organizer, can see what other schools with your same FSP have done or are doing to convert their campus to Fair Trade. Most schools have a contact person, and having this information public means that you can ask them how they did it, ask for advice, make connections, or just create relationships with the schools around you. The information on Zeemaps can be updated very easily and as often as we can manage! For now, as we are figuring this out, the revising will be done by the regional coordinators. If you see something incorrect or just want to add some missing information, please let your regional coordinator know, and he or she will change it on the map. |
