Dear student activists,

Don't forget that USFT's International Joint Convergence on Trade Justice at the University of Central Florida is happening on March 27-28, 2010! Find the details and register now at www.tradeactioncamp.com.

This is an exciting time for those of us who are committed to a vision of an equitable, sustainable, fair, and just economy. There is unprecedented interest and opportunity for both short and long-term reform, and we need to work together more effectively to take full advantage of this momentum.

Members of USFT and STJC believe that we students play a key role in the global trade justice movement but we need to find ways to better support each other’s efforts. Thus, we have planned the Trade Action Camp convergence for the weekend of March 27-28 at the University of Central Florida. Come learn about Fair Trade, Trade Justice, and how to strategically make the world a better place.

The goals of this convergence are to facilitate education, communication, and action as well as create relationships to share in the learning of trade no matter what your experience is within this movement. We would like all participants to have the opportunity to share their own knowledge, so please add to our convergence agenda by proposing topics or workshop ideas you would be willing to lead. To do this we have created a space on our website for you to propose and facilitate workshops.

We hope you agree that coming together at this time is as necessary and important as we do.

If you would like to propose a workshop, first register, then click on the "sessions" tab within the convergence website and simply sign up your workshop idea for review.

We hope to see you in March and look forward to working together on ways to accelerate progress toward Trade Justice!
